Ayutthaya

Former capital of Siam during the 1300s Ayutthaya is an archaeological site which has numerous temples, sculptures, and buildings left from the Burmese-Siamese war. The design of the buildings and temples were influenced by Khmer and Hindu styles with a central temple tower and symmetrical courtyards. Stupas dot the grounds along with Buddha statuary surrounding the temple. Red bricks form the underlining foundation. A popular place to for visitors to immerse themselves back in time, many cosplay by dressing up in period costumes while strolling the grounds.
