Café Sperl, Wien

A Viennese coffeehouse with a long history dating back to the 1800s, Café Sperl is a landmark known to have been a hangout for writers, pols, and musicians to engage with like-minded people as they shared a cup of joe with some great food. Dark wood paneled walls along with brass and glass chandeliers framed by deep marigold drapery ensconce patrons in thought while sipping a kaffee melange. This palette is what inspired my own little oil study (below) of Café Sperl.
