Tiny Cup Delivers Big

I was looking for some morning espresso while wandering around the Thong Lor area of Bangkok when I walked in to the Tiny Cup. Small and homey is the first impression. Mixed in on a busy street of stores and condos the Cup is easy to miss. Once inside, the coffeeshop reminded me of a quaint New England neighborhood coffeeshop. It was decorated tastefully with tea and coffee collections along with furniture that was more reminiscent of home rather than a business. The furniture was super comfy with sofas, lighting, and tables designed around the idea of coffee and conversation. Menu items were also slanted towards comfort foods but with a creative twist on everyday eats. Coffee and food were expertly prepared/presented by an attentive staff. Up a small flight of wooden stairs customers can enjoy an intimate dining area overlooking the first floor. A cozy private room with french doors was another great spot to sit on a large sofa to have a leisurely cup of joe with friends. Simply put, places like the Cup are hard to find in a place like Bangkok. Try it and see if you agree with me.
