Silent Strikes
Many gave their lives, family, and professions to join the sound of the drumbeat for freedom and self determination. That was more than two years ago. Today those who have not been jailed or killed have taken up arms joining thousands of their countrymen and women in a final struggle to eradicate authoritarian rule forever. The battlefield is shifting from small pockets of resistance to full-on engagement in large parts of the country. Perhaps we can all start to imagine a free Burma without military rule. Maybe we can start to breath the air of self-determination. And possibly we can finally wakeup from this long nightmare of exile, statelessness, and poverty. Included here is a photo illustration from an exhibition at the Bangkok Art and Cultural Center in 2022.
